Congratulations are in order, President-Elect Obama. You have succeeded in becoming this country's first African-American President. Truly, the work of one of one of my idols, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., was not in vain. An African American has achieved the highest honor afforded any citizen of this great country.
I only hope that your economic policy does not cripple us beyond capacity and that your foolish foreign affairs plan somehow works in our favor.
There is a silver lining to every dark cloud. I couldn't be happier for the African American citizens throughout this country who are no doubt celebrating the ascension of their own race to this country's, indeed this world's, highest office. This is truly an historic event.
