"I don't care," said Pierre.

I know about 5 people who will remember this and all it's glory:

Maurice Sendak and Carole King. Does it really get any better?

  1. Well, if you went over to caroleking.com you would find dozens of people who spend hours simply discussing how wonderful Really Rosie, and Pierre is. It is one of her bests!

    And I don't care!

  2. I was mostly referring to the random children's art exhibit at an equally random privately-owned art museum I went to with my family and some family friends one time. There was a little television and a few sets of headphones and all of us kids (I was about 11 or 12 at the time) took turns listening. We still sing it to this day whenever we get together.

  3. Oh! I hope that you will listen to the entire Really Rosie CD. It is truely one of Carole King's best moments in her career and for her hardcore fans, an everlasting delight. Please enjoy all the tracks, and when you want, let me know if you would like to hear one of the demos from this period. Children of ALL ages find Really Rosie to be just what the doctor ordered. Note how stripped down the piano and the vocals are....very under-produced....'raw', as they say.

It is so easy to find what folks are saying about Carole King, thanks to the internet. Growing up, there was so little news of Carole because of her nature to remain private. She is one of our Greats!

Keep blogging. Be well, and stock up on your Carole King CDs. Then, check out Laura Nyro.

    A fan.
